VA Sluice

Keep your head down and ride smooth. This was Virginia's version of the sluice. It seems there was a lot of logging in the area where the race usually was. So, they moved the course around a little and included this stream ride. It was fun and not that difficult. All you had to do was keep your head down under some of the tree limbs crossing the stream.

Rock and Roll!!!!

Here's another view of the rocks on the bottom of the stream....

Lock up them brakes...

This was a pretty good course. Alot faster than I expected it to be. Here I'm in a section where we had several lines to chose from. I'm brake sliding into the turn, trying to miss the tree on my right.

Whoosh, another blurr...

Just reaching the bottom of a down hill, on the brakes pretty hard. Just check out the front suspension almost bottoming out!!! It seems I had an arguement with a tree on an uphill. I lost my goggles and run my bell. Later I had an arguement with a little tree and lost the back half of my chest protector.

And they're off!!!

This was a great race course. We were given the opportunity to pre-ride the course. It was great other than some dust. In the picture you can see the start of the 250B class. I'm hidden behind another bike. We started on the infield of a stock car track.

Ahhh, the wheels are off the ground!!

Here is a shot of the motocross section. It was mainly trail through a grass field with several elevation changes. Here is the top of a hill that made a nice jump.

.

Are we done yet??

Here's a picture from the last lap just before the scoring barrels. We came down the front straight of the stock car track. The track had one section that got really, really muddy as you can tell from the front of my bike.
